BoCRon

I'm in the middle of sending off an import bitch's paperwork to AKC to get her registered here in our names.
I am sorting through the stack of stuff that came with her and want to be sure I have the right papers to send. I am looking for the Bescheiningung and think I have it but it also says stuff about her Korklasse rating. The paper is titled :bescheinigung uber erfolgte ankorung fur ruden hundinnen. Is that the document the AKC is looking for?
I'm also sending in her pink papers (which makes me nervous that they won't accept a notarized copy instead), the AKC registration form and the 2 pictures they request. Oh yeah, and money LOL.
Hope that does it.
Thanks all,
Annette

Hi Annette

No, that is not the paper that the AKC is looking for.  That is a paper showing that the dog was breed surveyed.  The paper that AKC needs is the certification from the SV that the ownership transferred to you.  My paper said "certification" in the middle of the paper and then stating that I was now the owner of said dog and it's SV number.

You send the pink papers (or go to Kinko's or other copying center) and get them copied on to pink paper and send the copies.

The certification of transfer of ownership

AKC application forms

Pictures.

If you plan to breed this dog you will need to do the DNA also after the dog is registered.  All foregin born dogs, both male and female, now have to be DNA tested in order to register a litter.

AKC is fairly efficient and the processing of my papers only took about a month I think.

Good luck
Judy
