Hi,

I live in India [delhi] and need help regarding feeding my GSD puppy.
He is 5 months old and very active and playful. He currently weigh 19 kg [ 41.88 lb].
He was getting royal canine (maxi baby) + vitamin and calcium suppliment / cottage cheese / Yogurt and milk as daily diet in the right quantity specified to me.
I Introduced him to beef  and he loves it. The problem is that the doctor recomended not to give him red meet as he is growing and would effect his bone formation due to high content of phosphate in beef because of which the calcium do not absorb.

I need to know if its safe to feed him beef at his age. My doctor recomended pedigree [puppy large breed] and my dog shows no interest in eating it.
============================================================================
Detail on his week diet:
[1.5 kg beef + 1 kg beef liver ] steamed and mixed with steamed vegies [ 500 g potato + Gourd - Bottle +  carrot ]
Yogurt - 400g  / daily
Cottage cheese - 200 g  / daily
Fruits: 1 banana or 1 pear  /  daily

suppliment:
2 tabs calcium
2 tabs vitamin

Morning [6 -7 am]: beef and veg steamed with flat bread.
Afternoon [ 12 - 01 pm] : royal canine with cottage cheese
evening [05 pm] : Yogurt + banana or pear
Night [ 09 - 10]: beef and veg steamed with rice.

I am so confused with all the advise given to me... Please help..!

I do not know what Gourd and Curd is. But I see some problems here. Liver may caused diarrhea if it is too much of it.
But most importantly:
Do not give calcium only pills!!!!!!! Calcium only needs other minerals in order to be digested. Like Phosphorus, magnesium and manganese....If you over do the calcium your dog will need  these minerals in order to process the Calcium and he will get these minerals from its own teeth and bones! You are giving cottage cheese which is already heavy on calcium , more then the dog needs and then you are supplementing more. I would not give more then 1 tea spoon of cottage cheese to the pup per day.

Any commercial dog food is inferior to meat. Meat is your best supplement. No vitamins necessary. If you over suplemet with vitamins you may actually have too much of a "good stuff" and dog may grow too fast and then have bone problems.
Here is what I recommend: Meat like chicken with all the flat bones and cartilage, poultry necks, beef and so on lightly cooked  with pasta or rice (pasta has more calories). Pinch of sea salt and the vegetables or fruits like you are already doing.
