maybe the exceptional pit bull is a friend to all..........the pits that live in my area would rather tear you apart then lick your face.

Better have a club in hand if you want to walk your dog and one of those killers in on the loose.

been there, done that, almost bit my son's face off.

I have been around just as many mean German shephards as I have Pitts.. I own both right  now. My pitt would NEVER bite anybody, and she is even a rescue dog straight out of the ghetto. Some people are just narrow minded. Even people that claim to be dog lovers.

Sitasmom-   Have you had any experiences with pit bulls?? What sort of area do you live in?? I see them on a daily basis at the clinic I work at, they aren't the vicious man eaters you are making them out to be! I think it is ridiculous and uneducated for you to refer to them as "killers". I have been bit several times by GSD'S do I still own them, yes, do I consider them "killers" no! You really should think about the ramifications of uneducated comments you make sometimes, the same has been said of Dobies, Rotts, and even the ever sweet Golden Retriever is on the dangerous dog list. I am not saying that there are not bad ones, more the owner than the dog, but comments such as yours are the very reason that all the ridiculous laws and insurance restrictions on dogs are becoming more prevelant. May you only hope that one of YOUR dogs never bite someone, or you may find your dogs being "killers" that try to ter you apart. Ignorant minded people such as yourself really need to get a grip.

I guess narrow minded is have one of those monsters and believing its a "good dog', just to watch it try to bite my son's face off.........

Stupid is promoting such a breed as "reformed" and 'sweet little kittens" as that video clip did........

Fact is that a disproportionately large number of these dogs are very aggressive, not just to other animals, but to the human animal too............

the people that are promoting that video are at great risk, and could basily be in court with a lawsuit........it is irrisponsible to promote such a dog as they are.

You can call that narrow minded, or you can say that I learnd from my horrible, horrible experience.

Oh horse puckey. The dog could just as well have been a Dachshund. All dogs are capable of being either wonderful or rotten. It has nothing to do with the breed.

If it's got teeth, it's capable of biting. No one tooth-bearing species is more capable of biting than another. Considering how common pit bulls are, they are in fact severely underrepresented in the biting stats.

I suppose somebody will start in on that rubbish about the famous locking jaws now.

Sitasmom- How would you respond to someone who sees you training for bitework? Are they to be ignorant minded to believe you when you say "they only bite the sleeve"???? Or how about the person who thinks your dogs are vicious because they see you at a schuthund trial. Because you do schutzhund, does that mean your dogs are "man eating killers" . Really.... please think before you post your comments, you sound like a Peta ranting, dog banning loon!

I was training obedeince in the park and a woman called the police ......... no bite work, just heel, sit, down........

I had a pit bull it bit my son in the face.......that pit pull was a killer.........
