How do you tell if a puppy is bi-colored when it is born? Is it like a Black and has a black butt with tan legs, or do you have to wait until it is older?

Basically with the bi-colours ...... the paws are tan .... like from the wrist down ..... as the puppy gets older you may begin to notice some brown in other areas ... at 8 wks you notice much more .....

Bi-colours usually have a tan bit around there butts... sometimes the tan on the legs takes longer to see.
