Worsened Callouses - Page 1

I have a 5 year old GSD pet His callouses have got worsened and now the elbow fur has become deep red colored can someone tell me what is this condition and what medicines should I apply which will permanently treat this

Your dog is laying on a hard surface. The constant contact of the elbow with this surface has caused the callouses. Some bag balm will help the condition, but there needs to be a soft mat or some type of cushion between the elbow and whatever surface caused the condition.
