I am a big dog and I am confined to a small pen in the pound. I need to be able to run and enjoy life with someone to love me. If I do not get out soon, I will be put to sleep. I am only 14 months old and am hoping someone will save my life and love me.

What a beautiful dog. He appears to be from working lines. I was able to see him on:  http://richmond.kijiji.com/c-Pets-Dogs-puppies-German-Shepherd-Dog-Large-Adult-Male-Dog-Gabriel-W0QQAdIdZ154617872#ixzz0Qjay2w0s ,  but
he is no longer on petfinder.com, so is it possible he has been adopted? I sure hope so.  If not, have you tried to notify any of the other rescue groups in NC? Please keep us posted. Thank you for trying to help this dog find a home. Everytime I see an ad like this it breaks my heart. To everyone on this board: Please adopt a homeless dog rather than purchase a puppy,  if at all possible!

I did to I did call Richmond VA and ask if he was rescued what I was told  he came in today and they are still in the prosess of the evaluation etc. she told me that he has excellent temperament and apparently was raised with cats because he likes them.
I also forwaded it to local rescues in the area. Thanks for your help and care, She will keep me updated on him. I would take him in but have 3 resues and my own .

I volunteer for two GSD rescues in NC and one in VA. One of the intake folks has already emailed me back and they will be checking up on him.
