OK I found the dosage in the files .Now does any one think I should give her water or just wait for her to throw up ? After she throws up should I give her some pepto ? I think I am a worry wort in my old age . She has been eating things like socks and stuff lately .Things she never has done before . Last week she ate my favorit slippers .

MAYBE THERE IS A DEFFICIENCY IN her food...give her Pepto...if you think she swallowed maybe hard plastic, boned, glass, etc give her some white bread with olive oil, it acts like a sponge, and the oil in the bread make it slippery to go through faster

let her throw up untill she has the dry heaves.......and then let her throw up some more.

if she gets worse, take her to the ver.

have you changed food? it sounds like she's looking for something that she's missing in her feed.

maybe a multi vitamaine would help

good luck I hope it passes soon!

She ate nasty fermented tomatoes and hamburger. I saw her licking her chops standing over the trash can .She was only out for not even one minute. Well she has not thrown up the peroxide and I gave it to her almost an hour ago . Now I will worry about the peroxide staying in her . She is drinking water so hope fully she gets more up . She is on the same diet she has been on for years . She is really never out of my site .She did not eat plastic or any thing like that she has been eating socks and slippers when I go to sleep at night . I will have to start treating her like a two year old child and start old dog proofing the house. I am starting to think she is getting senile . <<I hope I spelled that right . I am going to wait about 30 more minutes then give her some pepto . I feel a sleepless night ahead of me . She is starting to look better . Thanks.

Dogs eat worse garbage than that with little or no ill effect. I once tried to induce vomiting with peroxide and the dog never did vomit. :-) Don't stress her with your stress. She will be fine.

If I read that right you said that "she was eating socks and slippers while you were sleeping"  If she eats and throws up, can't keep water down, strains to poop, just doesn't look herself , stops eating all together or is painful when you touch her back or belly, I would take her in to the Vet and maybe do an X-ray with Barrum and make sure that she dosn't have a blockage or anything that is not moving fast enough.

As for the peroxide we give it till they throw up and we don't mix it with anything.
Hope this helps and I hope your dog gets better.

I found this

Tomatoes, Potatoes and Rhubarb
Tomatoes, potatoes and rhubarb contain oxalates, which trigger abnormalities with the nervous system, kidneys and digestive tract. Especially toxic are green tomatoes, green potatoes, potato skins, and tomato leaves and plants, can trigger tremors, seizure and heart arrhythimia, so tomatoes should never be given to dogs.

Funny you should say that Mystere .I was just looking at her thinking I was stressing her with my stress . I need to stop looking at her . I can see I am making her nervous . Yes I have seen them eat far worse but she got all wobbly  looking .I wasn't sure if tomatoes could turn to alcohol . Thanks for the info on your dog not throwing up the peroxide .That makes me feel better .

Wuzzup,    You could try putting a little salt on her tongue and then the peroxide, that should help her. I would definitely keep an eye on her after eating the socks, etc. I would also not give her Pepto in case she were to have a blockage, you don't want to bind her up more. Good luck, and I hope she is better soon.

Forgot to say it is usually 3 cc's of peroxide per 20 lbs. of weight. You should only use the peroxide twice though. If it has been more than 2 hours don't use the peroxide again, as whatever she ingested is probably in her small intestine by then. Hope this helps.
