I am looking forward to them being accepted, as I have always found coats beautiful but as I hold to SV standards I have never considered owning a coat. I have read that LC dogs will only be permitted to be bred to other LC dogs, so I imagine a gene pool of titled, koered dogs may be difficult to establish at first.
So if you have dogs already prepared for this, can we share some links/photos/locations? I'd love to see.

If/when the SV opens a stud book for longcoats I hope the USA and/or WDA follow suit, I would love to show her.

Your dog is very pretty! I wish you the best!
I am confused though...just a little...on her picture it says something about Elbow OFA dysplastic..?!
If indeed her elbows did not clear OFA, and they do not clear the A-stamp, she will not be able to receive a KKL.
If the info is incorrect on her picture...make sure you correct it....otherwise others may be as confused as I am.
Again, she really is a very pretty dog!

I always wanted to see what Molly would have been rated - but you are correct unfortunately she has severe hd so cannot get a KKL. Is it still possible to get a confirmation rating?? She will not be bred and will be spayed while I am on Christmas break this year. All her litter mates received their confirmation rating and if at all possible I would like to know what she would be rated. I keep forgetting that the KKL is to determine breed worthiness - not just to measure against standard.

I really am sorry about the OFA results.....shame.
I think she would have gotten the top rating in her classes.....12-18mo SG, 18-24mo SG, 24mos untitled SG.
I don't know how the standard will "diverse" from the general standard, if it will at all.
Best of luck,
Robin

Anyone have a coated sable? I am a sucker for them.

Thanks Robin. I really like the way she moves. She is not the hardest hitter on the field, but she sure is flashy running around with the sleeve in her mouth and I just love her color. She has been a great dog to learn all there is about the sport. Hopefully I can apply what I have learned on my next dog.
I have seen a few nice looking LC Sables lately, but don't remember seeing many in the past.
