Friday night, my trainer and I were working our dogs in a major park in the middle of Houston. We were working on motivational "get it" games, getting a focused animated heel and quick responses with sit and down.

A girl (15 to 18 years old) came up to us and asked if this was a new class and started tailing about a dog that she has that gets out and tuns the streets and is hard to catch. How the dog is nice and makes a game out of not being caught. We didn't invite her to come and going our training sessions........

As we were finishing the session, I was sitting on the back if her mini van with Hero on a very short leash. We were talking about how I can "get my ass in gear" and get my dogs more excited about work being fun. (Hero is an 11 month goof ball that won't hurt a fly and thinks that "protection" is a really cool game of tug of war).

A woman (mother to the girl) walked up and said that we needed to move our cars because they where in her way, that German Shepherds are a viscous breed and that we shouldn't have them in the park because they could bit her if she tried to walk in between the cars to get to a water hose that was 20' in front of our cars. Her accusations included that we have no idea what our dogs would do because they are viscous at heart.

She proceeded to write our license plates down and said that she was going to report our dogs to the police department.. This bitch made threats that she would make more then one complaint and have our dogs put to death and have us imprisoned.

When we started to call the emergency number to get a police officer ASAP. She drove away.  The police came and confirmed that our dogs are not viscous.

While on the phone, I got a whitness to say that the woman was nuts.

Now I have to worry about this crazy woman doing something stupid - like using an ice pick to simulate a dog bite.

Not to be rude but it seems like there is always drama with you. But anyways, that woman is a bitch.

That's because your dogs are not considered German Shepherds.

luvmydogs - go find a white german shepherd board to play on, you're not our kind!

That behind said.......

Think of the implications of this interaction....

This woman didn't like that we didn't invite he daughter into our private lesson.
an hour later
She found a really ridicules reason to pick on us - we parked in an inconvenient place.
When my trainer said, "well you're here to exercise, so going round a car cannot be that difficult"
The crazy woman went nuts and threatened us with having our dogs confiscated and killed and us put in jail.
When the police came, he did try to find some aggression in the dogs - shining a flash light in their eyes, and tapping on their crate. And the dogs were completely neutral to the whole thing.

What has the world come to!

BTW - I stayed out of 90% of the interaction because I was busy calling 911!

Any on of you could get caught in something like this - just beware!
