Does any one know anything about this stud dog?? If so, please post any information as much as possible.  I'm having a hard time getting the info I need from the owner of the dog.  So now I'm relying on anyone out there that can speak on him good or bad.  I'm not buying a dog from him (the owner) but interested in a pup from a litter who was bred from him (the sire).

Here is the dog's name and pedigree:
Ewo Von Heksterhorst

Please be truthfully honest....thanks for all your help in advance for those that comment.
***sorry I couldn't afford a tiekerhook because of the economy and the price at the moment***

Vikram---do you know if  he is more of a serious maneater protection type dog or is he more of a sport dog?  I was told he produced 3 litters, which doesn't tell me much since the owner doesn't want to give me the info I need.

I have had 3 dogs (a male and 2 bitches) out of this male, all 3 were littermates.  He produces very nice drivey dogs with SERIOUS agression.  The male matured MUCH faster than the females and I sold him to a Law Enforcement agency, he was more dog than I wanted.  The female I decided to keep didn't develop much toy drive till recently!  These puppies also tended to be more independant than what I personally like but again, the female that I kept has become very affectionate within the last 6 months.  She seeks me out now to get affection and play time, which she didn't before.  The male that I had was a carbon copy of Ewo's father Arras who was a dog with extremely high agression.  The female I kept is the body type of Flipsy Mohenweise.  A friend of mine has the other female and she is more slim.  Hip production was not great IMO out of the litter I bought from, 3 of the litter were with OFA Fair hips.

I would make sure if you are buying a puppy out of Ewo that the female has really nice lines known for hip production.....something with Aly Vordersteinwald would be really good to improve hips.

My dog's pedigree is as follows:

The pic here is of my friend at Taos Spirit Kennels female:

This is my female but a very uncomplimentary pic, she isn't as square as it depicts:

Good luck.

Also, the male that I had was a slightly nervy and on edge....always willing to bite for real but never any issues in a new environment.  It was a "useable nervyness".

Hey Vickie,
Thanks for the comments.  Yeah, I'm worried about the hips.  The owner said that Ewo's one hip is normal and the other is mild dysplastic....and still won't give me his ratings.  But I spoke to a trainer and the breeder I am interested in and they both said it may be caused by environmental not necessarily genetics.  Any thoughts??  I seen the pics of the links you posted from the progeny page under Ewo.  I was thinking about calling Ausland kennel and get their opinion on him.  I think those dogs under his progeny page are from that kennel.  Have you ever seen the dog work??  He won't send me videos (the owner)?  I'm trying to get as much info as possible before I make the trip (almost 9 hour drive).

I have a  question: Why are you dealing with person who does not want to give you ANY info?

If they do not talk to you now, what is going to happen if your pup is heavyly displastic...? maybe the puppy is worth the risk but I certainly would not do that..

JMHO

And no I do not know this dog, I have not seen the progeny. The hip issue mentioned here would be a HUGE question mark I would like to address with the breeder..... who is not talking.

Good luck

The litter listed on the database IS NOT by Ausland kennels.  I bought 3 of those puppies, one I named Alois V. Waldhugel, Aliz v. Waldhugel and the other is Adalya v. Waldhugel.  Waldhugel is the Kennel name of the breeder I bought from.  The original owner of Ewo imported him as a puppy I believe and his first name is Max.  I would have to go find my papers to tell you the guys last name but he is from Pensylvania and my puppies were shipped out of Morganstown.

I would NEVER mess with a breeder like you describe....he obviously is hiding something!

Pick a different litter and different breeder as I see too many red flags here!  I would also guess that Ewo is a little on the nervy side as well and works in defence.  I think you can do better especially knowing that Ewo has a bad hip.  I know the original owner decently and my opinion is that the dog was cared for excellently and it is not environmental.

Aras Haus Moons ZW score is an 80 though so not so bad

Flipsy Mohenweise ZW score is an 79 not bad either

If you need any help feel free to contact me.  What are you looking for in a puppy?  I have a friend with a super nice litter!

I would not think any hip problem comes from the Maternal side of the family
Tom ,Vant Leefdahlhof etc, the dam Flipsy is full sister to Eros father of Como who is daddy of Izzy
All Excellent top rated Hips,  and that side of the pedigree is faultless regards top workings lines however i know little or nothing about the Paternal side of the Dog,
Why will you not be told of the Hip gradings there should be nothing to hide if there is and you have any doubts do not buy it,  it is as simple as that

Are you looking at Urry's litter?
If so this is a Tom over Nick breeding, I have seen this combo before and its great. My good friend has Gizmo vom Houserhaus, he is a Nick over Tom breeding. Gizmo is powerful and is a blast to work.

It not good that your not getting all the info you need from the stud's owner but I hope everything works out finding that right dog.
