Hi everyone, I hope you are all healthy and happy, eating good food, lots of laughter and training your dogs. I bought the new sprenger collar for Jami. I like how it looks on her and still has the control like the the long prong. I do not get the horror looks from others out in public, like I really cared what they thought. I do not know how it would work for a very thick coated dog, but I am sure that the company used it on many breed for testing. Getting the links off and on took some experimentation but am able to do it with ease now. Has anyone else started using them?

Some woman have shoe and purse additions, for me it is leashes and collars! (Is that weird?) Sprenger is good stuff for sure. I'm not clear on what kind of Sprenger though (they sell chokes and fur savers and show collars and,,and). Can you describe it a litte more? Sounds like it is worth checking out!

I think I'll stick with what I've got and do what I've always done i.e. ignore anyone who thinks a prong is something from the Tower of London torture chamber...... I agree this looks great, but $60 seems a bit steep just to be "discreet".

Anja, yup, don't care what the ignorant ppl say (and I do mean ignorant in the proper sense) and I realize it is just a new fangled gadget that I don't really need but I gotta go with Dawg on this one. That collar sure is purdy. Hey Santa, while you are getting Eriel's can you get one for us too pppplllllleeeeaaaassseeee? We'll be good, or as good as we can be, until Christmas.

It IS nice looking IMO. Expensive though. But whatever works !!. I will use my old style but for those feeling sensitive I think it may be a nice way to get into "prongs". It really does look neat.
