So everyone knows I'm in search of a new puppy. I've been looking at numerous different litters......though I think I've cut it down to a select few.  One litter is Frankesco Anrebri/ IVE Anrebri.  Heres a video of Frankesco Anrebri.  I've been talking to "Rudolf" about Frankesco. Frankesco is a large powerful male, dominant, but a dog you can leave home with your wife and kids ( I'm paraphrasing all of this for sake of time when reading it)   I found this video on youtube and you can see the shear power when the helper tries to pull him around. They have told me a lot about IVE, Frankesco, sent pictures, videos, ect.  I don't have much time on here because I'm leaving for work, so I've left out most of the information about everything...obviously..... I'm also undecided whether I want a male or female out of the litter.  I've considered a female for the future.....thinking of breeding down the road if all of the training, health/hip, ect goes as planned.....Though breeding would not be my first interest,  and in a way I would like another male for training and working. How do you decide though, male or female?  As always I wish time and money were unlimited, then I would get one of each. Heres the link

Very Nice video!

If I were you and had limited time, I would get a male to start off, cause he won't come into heat like a female, and he can be out & about more which can make training more convenient, you mention wanting another male, do you have a male already?,
If so then you would want to bring a female home with you, but then again, I decided to keep a male from my last litter and alredy have a male, but they are 4 years apart, so the young one should respect the older one
Hopefully your wife is on the same page with you when it comes to training, I've had a few customers tell me that their pup they got from me wouldn't listen to the lady of the house & was walking all over her, eventually with the proper training that issue goes away, but some of the stories, like the pup barking back at the wife and hearing that they put the pup in time out,  just doesn't cut it, sounds silly like putting a kid in timeout.

Anyway, you seem to know what you're looking for, go for it, really handsome dog!

Leaving for work in two minutes......I do have a male out of Mambo z Pohranicni Straze, and I'm not married yet....still a fairly young guy.  With my work schedule I usually have a good amount of free time for training, playing, ect ect with all of my dogs.  I also do rehabilitation work on the side more and more now for other dogs. Just thought I would add that in there.

If I had a male already and wanted a second dog, I would get a female.  It's much easier with two dogs when the are of the opposite sex.

clifford, I'm 100% positive in selecting from Anrebri.  Renata knows her dogs, she is a SchH ref, she has a bronze medal for breeding in the Czech rep, she trains, works with, and knows her dogs very well. I'm not going by video alone, like I said.....I was in a rush to go to work so I only had a couple of minutes to type everything up. I know a lot more about the dogs in this breeding, a lot more than a video shows. Clifford also know this is from Anrebri kennels, in the Czech rep so I won't be going over there to see them.  I am confident in Renata though, "Rudolf" has been giving me information because Renata does not speak english.

Francesco Anrebri,
Based on video:
Nice, physically powerful dog with super high prey drive and great looks typical for Anrebri. It is most likely true what Renata is saying about his social abilities. Renata is a trustworthy person.  However as anybody can see; Francesco, at least on the video, is sorely lacking in courage when he is painfully trying to avoid the whip. . That is why he is frantically spinning. And that is what they are skillfully trying to correct in the video. We can see here training compensation mainly based on extra training in high prey  which should compensate for lack of courage and fight drive.  There is also proper use of negative reinforcement for spinning behavior in order to stop it. Dog wants the sleeve more then anything but is worried by the person who has it on his arm.  What concerns me are genetics and not how is the dog going to perform if it is based on, in this case, very excellent training methods.  I am judging the dog and not his trainers which are impeccable.
Just my opinion. You be the judge.
For the sake of the breed - Take care!

Where is this dog spinning around? I don't see it on the youtube video posted above. Thanks.

zyna,
Prager is referring to how the dog pulls the sleeve around behind the helper to avoid the stick.  The helper can't hold him in place and it is the helper that is actually doing the spinning to keep up with the dog.  I don't think the dog lacks courage but it is obvious he doesn't care to be hit.

GSDguy08,
How's about some updated pics of your boy.  I'm really fond of his looks.  How is he turning out?

Deb
