There are 9 Schutzhund titles and 12 BH's on Friday.

All of the dogs in blue competed on Friday with ONE SV judge?????? I thought there was a limit of 30 phases/parts per judge per day? 9 Schutzhund titles and 12 BHs equals 51 parts.  Are my calculations wrong??

Also, is there a limit of the number of dogs one handler can trial in one day??

PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE NOT OFFICIAL RESULTS. BUT THEY ARE POSTED ON THE CLUB's OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
I am just curious as to the regulations regarding judge/dogs/day and handlers/dogs/day.

Send this info to Danny Spreitler at WDA.......who best to ask?
Then your anser is not "hearsay" or "malice"......just FACT.

I am not a WDA member....  will my question be answered by Mr. Spreitler?

by crhuerta on 25 August 2009 - 03:08

I would think so.......anyone has the right to ask a question.

Two dogs per handler are allowed in a single trial.  I believe that does allow for a handler to trial for a BH and a schH title on one dog.

A BH is three parts with the written test or two parts without the written test.  SchH titles are 3 parts, of course.  30 parts are allowed per judge/per day.

Even if you count the BHs as 2 parts, they are over in phases per judge/day.

JMHO.

They had an awful a lot of dogs to trial, why can't the judge divide it up into 2 days, and maybe with so many dogs to trial, maybe it's led up to the judges discretion.  If that club is posting the results so everybody can see . Then I'm sure that club check on the rules for that.

I know with USA BHs only count as half or 3/4 deppending on the trial

You're right, not legal according to the WDA rules and regs.

Each handler can handle 3 in a trial, not per day -- so a few handlers listed above are illegal.

And  Judges are allowed 30 parts PER DAY, and the BH in WDA counts as 2 (as the WDA no longer does written tests) and SchH counts as 3.

If you are right about all blue on Friday with one judge you have: 12 x 2 + 9 x 3 = 51.

But are you sure the SchH trials were really partly on Friday?
