Foreign Registration and AKC - Page 1

I sent my pups papers into the AKC Foreign Registration with what was required, Photo's, Bescheinegung. etc.. last Tuesday. I made copys of EVERYTHING!!! and sent it CERTIFIED MAIL.
What is the turnaround time with them? (AKC.) Usually pretty smooth?

how hard its it to get a bescheinegung,
i am looking at importing a pup .
was wondering if the breeder can do this or do i have to do this.
sounds like alot of work.

yea, about a month. AKC sent the Bescheinegung back also, which I didn't expect.

bea, if the seller notifies the SV, then you only have to contact them and provide a credit card #, less than $50 if I remember correctly.

If not, then I had to send a certified copy of the signed pedigree to the S.V.

Not hard and the person you deal with on the SV end is very helpful. I was a little nervous, but all went well. 

Lots of dogs come from Germany to the U.S. and the system on both ends seems to be set up pretty well.

If buying a pup unseen, do your homework on the breeder.

if  i decide on this pup she has FCI papers, she is  in serbia.
