Crate training is always a joy,
What else are you doing with her at eight weeks?

What a cutie!!  My favorite color too!  Everything is fun with a puppy.  I have a 3 1/2 mo. old now....sable, of course.  Hope you have as much fun as I am having.  Perfect time of the year for a puppy, also.

I am very happy to hear fo people crate training.  It makes for such a nice secure puppy...also leaves us with a little time to ourselves!LOL  Puppy obedience is sooooo much fun, also.  They are learning, without knowing they are learning!!

Good luck!!

I love a crate trained pack!   This is the only way I can board others and also get out of the house.

My new pup came in at 12 weeks and said , "No", I did not sign up for that program.

I , of course said.......these are the rules here......all good things happen when in your cozy box.   (Food, beef marrow bones, treats)   and in a week........
No problem..........all good...........crate is great!

spunky loves her crate. fluffy refused crating and got her way. her spot is a bed in front of the couch. she goes in spunky's crate sometimes now but just goes in there to steal her food.
i think sables are just gorgeous. i hear working lines are harder to handle. i don't know if i could handle one but if i could i would love to have one someday.

Oh yes I remember crate training, I also made things happy with the crate. I did it gradual over a two week period, I also put a small amount of cedar chips in if there were potty issue.  Most of the potty issues happened when there was an eight hour lapse due to sched.  But she did fine and was potty trained really well by 6 months of age.
Always,
Cee
