Dear Sportfriends,
lately I have noticed how The Very Few are trying to push up their sales figures, and they are using this board for their commerce.
Please DO NOT support this Big Business. I am referring to a motherlines database of SV-judge Schweikert (deeply involved in the massive accusations of judge Reinhard Meyer) and the online-broadcasting of this years Sieger Show by the Reivision-company. As it can not be expected that the GSD (or the SV for that matter) is benefitting in any way from this money, one should refrain from supporting this money-making. (Should you need any info whatsoever on the pedigrees of your dogs, I will give you the info for free.)
Let me please remind you of the fact that the SV-regulations DO NOT allow any kind of commerce/business with our beloved breed the German Shepherd Dog. I would say, SV-judges (like Schweikert) in particular, should refrain from any kind of dealings, correct me if I'm wrong. Let me state for a fact, that within the SV (and we are looking at the last decades only), "The Very Few" of the German top-breeders (see my Top-100 of SV-breeders) - those that will take away the awards again this year - are making average turnovers in excess of 2.000.000 Euros in the period 1986-2007, of course not with their pups only, but with the (bottle-necking) stud-business (imagine the income of 200-300 stud jobs per champion) and the sales of breeding bitches and promessing youngsters (after good placings). Please note that the sales of the individual VA-dogs to China or Taiwan are NOT even included in these figures.
It is my understanding that this kind of big business must NOT be supported but confronted with all severity and by all means. Professional businesses of dogbreeding have been officially installed to mislead the tax office, but SV-regulations are very clear, they are against the rules and therefore must be banned immediately. Surely the SV is aware of all of this, but instead of confronting this, they look the other way, thus cheating the greater part of the SV-members and the majority of the small breeders. But remember, the top-breeders ARE the SV.
Just ventilating my personal opinion here, on an open forum, but do go ahead and add your 2cents.
Wishing you all a healthy dog, I remain,
Yours sincerely,
Jan "Jantie" Demeyere

Hello Jantie,
I am not going to argue about breeders, but what is wrong with Reivision? It is their business and they have the right to make money with these films or the live features. Is it because you don't like Helmut? I remember that you were in quite an argument with him last year.

I’m glad you agree on the subject of the Big Business of the top-breeders (that you know so very well yourself, as you’re dealing with them all the time) Chris, I wouldn’t expect dissent on this theme. Let me elaborate on the movie-business and explain what I mean.
Surely there must be more than just one single man in Germany capable of holding a camera!? Therefore, it is NOT acceptable that it should always be the same person that gets the chance to work for the SV. One should work with the system of sealed tenders (versiegelte Angebote bei Ausschreibungen ) in order to decide who gets the order this year and everyone should be able to apply for the job. (I'm NOT interested myself by the way!)
We mustn’t forget we are dealing with a NON-PROFIT association here (gemeinnütziger Verein). It is NOT the intention that one makes a lot of money with the “products” of the SV, and should a profit be made by the occasional sale of a product of the association (and I theresay movies/recordings of a Siegerschau must be regarded as association-owned-products), then the profit must unquestionably support the association and its members, NOT the Happy Few, or one privileged partnership for that matter over the course of decades!
In both cases (with the movies, just as well as with the Big Business) the statutorily-regulated idea of charity (or non-profit) is being cheated rather than supported. We should not support this, but reject it.
Tschüssie!

I guess Chris has left to the BSZS. We will read her placings in the results list later.
I hope people will copy some of the recordings to show us all, how manipulation takes its course.
From what I hear, the helper work says it all!
Bye!
