What happened to this place? - Page 1

Sorry forgot how to work this site.

There is now a general message board?  And if there is a seperate message board for general stuff, why are you people putting OT on your heading?  Isn't it all OT?  Even on the new "exclusive" GSD board people are talking about Cash for clunkers.

I think I'm gonna cancel my cable and come back here for drama.  This place is worse than when I left.

Also, after skimming some of the drama threads, I don't blame some of the people asking questions if someone is taking donations.  I only know her from here, but if someone was going to trials and concerts, I'd want to know why donations are needed and how her vehicle is fine to travel to these things but not to a safe house. 

Brett farve has retired and come back 6 times since I have been here and this place is still the same. Maybe worse.

Don:  What happened was as you know, the PDB was only for GSDs until not too long ago.  Oli then added the other breeds and with each breed he also added message boards for those breeds.  So obviously, threads on the  GSD message board were not seen on any other breed message board and vice versa.  So Oli decided to incorporate the threads that were not breed specific onto this new GENERAL TOPICS message board.  Now if people want to talk about things that effect all breeds and get in put from not just GSD people, they can post on this GENERAL TOPICS board, or if they want to only discuss something with GSD people they can post it on the GSD board, same thing for people with other breeds.

Unfortunately we have been overrun by a certain element that has no interest in dogs or GSDs and only wants to pollute and flood the board with their silly OT threads about President Obama ALL THE DAMN TIME.  There have been more than 10 of these stupid threads all going at once, knocking all the dog related threads to the back pages.  Between these fruitloops and the Hatfields/McCoy feuders (KitKat, GSD123, Pole Rider, etc., this place is infested with this crazy bullshit.

I had 1) many complaints about not finding links to do stuff and 2) cries of help from new users where to do stuff

I decided to make a single box with all the items a logged in user can do. Hope it helps, it will probably make it easier for new users to get used to the website.

ps. I will be making this message board a cross breed board and adding a new (empty) for GSD related issues. this is only becuase of a design flaw of mine:

I created a multi breed messageboard for al other breeds and excluded the GSD because this board existed, I can easily remove the exclusion of the GSD and have GSD's as a normal member as other breeds. The data container for this ( the original ) messageboard stands alone .

So for each breed there will be 2 forums, Cross-breed (that is seen for every breed) and a breed-only that is local.

You know there is lots of stuff going on here that is not GSD related I,ll agree whole heartedly, but it,s like a cold lake if the temp aint to your liking don,t go swimming. 

And Don if you don,t want to help out a friend thats okay too. But don,t whine because some of us do, In all honesty it,s not your money!

I think you misunderstood my post or I should be more specific.  I believe that shelly has been through some rough stuff.  I'm not denying that.  I meant that I could see how some people could question things a bit.    You gotta remember that this is a vast board.  Most people don't know eachother here.  There are alot of scammers in the dog world.  There is a new thread every day on someone getting scammed.

It's nice to see you back. I also was off the board for a long time. A lot of people have left who were very helpful but luckily there are still some people here who are willing to help folks who are serious about the the GSD.
