I know the food has been discussed a couple of times, but anyone raise litters with this food and how do you like it?
Thanks

Hi Dan:
I am raising a liter on the Taste of the Wild, and I love it. No problem, good coats, firm stools, not too much fluff on the bodies.

Some people don't like the calcium/phosphorus numbers. I raised 2 litters on it no problems. I feed raw, but for those that will be eating kibble, I usually switch to TOTW before they leave.

I had a litter ....not GSD, but a Husky litter that I raised on it and they did great with it. They had extremely soft good coats, kept their weight just right, good stools also. I kept one of the pups.....now 8 and 1/2 months later he is still doing great on it. Good muscle, coat is STILL as soft as it was when he was a puppy, doesn't eat much to keep a good weight, good energy and stools.

I have just recently changed to it. My rott was having issues and we do not know if it was food related, but for now he is doing good, and I can even see him tease me once inawhile now, lots of fun! They looked so good while on the other, I am hoping that does not change.
If anyone hears anything has changed with it, please pm me immed.

I feed raw, but recently used TOTW for a foster litter of GSD's and they did great on it. I now recommend it to my puppy adopters.

Hi to all: I guess my message got way-layed. Anyway, is anyone worried about the after affects of the high protein? What about pano in the GSD, among other breeds also. What about the long term affects of this protein level. Any one know?

Once again I'll say, the Salmon does NOT have high protein. The Salmon has 25 % The Bison...which I use for my adult Husky since Huskies typically need higher protein, has over 30 % .....I can't remember how much over

I started my 18 month old, at the time, on the Salmon TOTW over a year ago. She had had bouts of Pano before, but not after changing her. She is now on the Bison (after she turned 2) and is doing awesome.

Taste of Wild is manufactured by Diamond - I will get slammed for saying it - but I like Diamond foods..... I switched my dogs to just the Diamond naturals - and I love it. I have had alot of hair shed on all three of my dogs before I switched to the Naturals - Not now.....My male is 7 months old and been worried with pano - I did switch to the Lamb/rice-because of the hair loss also because of pano- it is 24-26 protein and 14 fat - and it is working for all my dogs... Taste of Wild is the top end of Diamond foods from what I hear - but I have to say I like the Naturals... The naturals has no soy, wheat or corn. My dogs look great - cant complain - same manufacturing company - so this is my plug for them...lol
