Hello everyone,
I am looking for a female out of working lines for my husband. I would like to find a female who would be able to compete on a local level in our Schutzhund club. I am located in Hawaii, due to quarenteen laws we are unable to purchase a puppy under 12 months of age. Does anybody know of a good female or kennel that has anything like this available?
Thanks guys!
Laura

Doing as you are doing is a good start. Other wise do some research on the internet. Depending on what you want to spend there are dogs out there. Keep in mind that in looking for a dog like this, a green dog will not be cheap if it has good working potential and you will also need to keep in mind why are the people selling the dog. Most dogs that have the potential to work well will not be sold for little and, why has the dog not been worked. I am assuming you are looking for a green dog your husband can work. Why ddr? for example. I ask this so you can ask yourself this question.
Two things, be cautious and do lots of research and have someone you respect help you if you are not seriously involved in training. It is too easy to get ripped.
Also, do you think your husband should be in on the picking if it is going to be a dog that he will be working and bond to? I do not mean to talk down to you, I just don't want to see you and your husband make a choice that you are not happy with and there are many that will be happy to take your money. Find some on this board that you trust with pedigree/dog knowledge and see if they would help you look at pedigrees etc. Again, not meaning to talk down to you, I just have no idea what you know or don't know. Give a little more info in your thread.
Good luck
