hi new to this.can a female get pregnant if she is not ovulating
she was mated 2-3 days before ready only mated the once.

Keep in mind that most vets say that the males semen can live up to 72 hours in a female. If you are concerned you might want to get an ultrasound done on about the 32 day after the mating, and that should tell you if she is or not. Of course if you did not want to breed her then you might want to consider a abort shot. keep in mind that might bring her back in heat.
