Hello -
Our GSD puppy female, Brita,
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/600354.html
ran away in the morning of 8/11/09 in the northern Tallahassee area, FL, after digging out a tunnel under the fence.
She is black and red, long-tailed, about 50 lbs, and microchipped with PETtrac. Shown is her photo from a few days ago (at 11 months old).
If you have any information regarding her fate, please let us know: tomekplewa@gmail.com.

How awful. I assume you have already called animal control, but send a flyer to every dog trainer, groomer, vet, shelter, pet store...someone has seen her! Best of luck to you in finding your dog.

Thanks. And yes, we went to the animal shelter in our county (animal control does not seem providing information about retrieved dogs/pets) and will contact shelters in the nearby counties as well. They keep animals for at least 7 days and routinely scan for microchips. We have filed a missing dog report with PETtrac. Our neighbors are on alert. Going to see our vet first thing in the morning.

How terrible for you and your puppy. I sincerely hope that you find her very soon and that she is OK.
