Today I learned that  Tripl H  Montei vom Jahnhaus  of Tyler, one of a Private Investigators germans of my  Tiekerhook/Enclavehof breeding was bitten by a

WATERMOCASSIN,   on the ranch property last week and before his owner could dig him out of the pond, where he ran and hid under a bridge after being bitten, died.in his arms....     His owner's daughter said her dad told her the next day, he wanted to die with Monte...he was very distraught and very upset...He used Monte for his business, and had trained him to ride  a four=wheeler, hunt squirrels and deer, and he even killed a cayote two years ago..  He was so much a Daddy's boy , but he loved the grandkids also...His owner put on demos with Monte for all the kids when they had family reunions.

Today the grandkids and his daughter came to see   Abbeys last male pup ..Abby is Monte's sister so what better pup to replace Monte  , is one of his own bloodline,,,  Tomorrow wil be a much better day for Monte;s rememberance..

I am having a real hard time with this one , as if you look at his face..he is Dieter made over..Dieter was Shon Tharas  sire  and Austin was the sire of Monte   and Austin is an Orthos v Tiekerhook grandson.. He accompanied his master on investigations of fires of arson..

He was indeed a working dog that will be waiting for his Master and his Ganny at Rainbow Bridge.  RIP  Monte ....

Please watch for SNAKES    this time of the year...I cannot believe this has happened...after 21 copperheads here, a watermoccasin takes out one of my kids.

wow. sorry to hear of a good dog's unexpected passing.
glad we don't have to worry about that here in minnesota.
it gets bitterly cold in the winter but we don't have any poisonous snakes or spiders.
my deepest sympathies ............

YR,

I am sorry to hear of the passing of this poor dog, sounds like he was a very versatile, special dog, and he will be missed!

Up here, it gets really cold, too, and we don't have much in the way of poisonous bugs or snakes around here, thank God!

I copied this site which shows many pics of the Cottonmouth watermoccasin and several other watermoccasin images..look at them and be aware ..They all look different  from very dark to patterned...and normally are in ponds and near water...,.

So terribly sorry for your loss. But, how wonderful that there is a puppy to replace him. I only hope he can come close to filling Monte's pawprints. Special dogs live with us such a short time, but we never forget them.

I am so sorry, he was a very special dog.
Always,

Thanks everyone, this has broken  my heart..All I can see in my mind is a horrible snake biting such a great dog who was so valuable in spirit and honor to our breed..to die in the water in his owners arms out in the country and nothing to do but watch him....I don't know if I can turn loose of this baby pup,,what if he goes thru the same thing...

I know you cannot put them in a cardboard box and keep them protected from everything out there   .....but this is a nightmare to me..

YR, so sorry, what a tragedy.  With Abby being my favorite girl, it doesn't surprise me that her bother was that special.  And one of her pups should grow to be just as special.  Hugs.
