Did posting pictures kill this board?

Seems to me that the demise of this board started around the time Oli added the feature that allowed us to post pictures.

Don't get me wrong I love this feature and the ability to see everyone's dogs etc. But it seems like the feature allowed people to post porn pictures, political cartoons and pictures which in turn fueled the present OT posts that now seem to dominate the new threads. Prior to the picture feature the posts were almost all dog related.

It gets somewhat boring if every single post is strickley dog related. However IMO it presently is totaly out of control.

Would love to hear other opinions on this, especially from the people that were posting here before the picture feature was added.

I like the funny pics and cartoons sometimes. Everything went to shit durring the elections last Nov and slightly before. Let's blame the Gov't.

I agree on the porn pics and the ones on WHo is BOb McKnown are very abusive and one with the chubby child with the F sentence needs to go...do not know who posted it but it and the last one with stripper on it...are worse than any religion or politcs......I do not care who Bob McKnown is we do not need those kind of pics here on anyones thread...

Funny jokes and pics of stup things are ok and some of the pics of other goofy things are ok..but that is too far.....way too far....

It's difficult to really pinpoint, yet I would have to say, things went downhill once "PANGO" was allowed to keep late hours with Wild Pat's Cheerleaders on nights before training days. Burning the candle at both ends doing God knows what!

I was here before the picture feature came, & there was very little abuse then, but there was some. I was lurking here for several years before I signed on...but it really went down the tubes, in my opinion, when things began to get more....commercial(?). When the google ads started, it seemed like they dredged up a whole different type of poster. I know change is inevitable, but I keep waiting for the flak to shake out. I keep hoping that once the wackos get tired of this board, or some other new place lures them away, things will settle down. Sure is taking a long time, though. jackie harris (And of course some of our lesser wackos are tolerable, even amusing at times...but I think right now the inmates are running the asylum.)

I agree with 4Pack on the timing, though I wouldn't go so far as to blame the government! As I recall the google ads and the picture thing both happened around the same time, didn't they Kalibeck?

Maybe Oli should ad a filter to his software?? I love seeing pics of peoples dogs & pups but if there were a filter then none of the crap could get through.

ahhh... when could we not post pictures on this forum ?

I think my first post here was a picture hotlinked off my image shack via code .. and that was long before this source box which I might add is a very nice forum feature although I would prefer more java n perl. I miss the preview tab though.

I think you people just like to bitch about shit, because anyone can post a picture on HTML regardless of Oli's add picture button ?

Picture Page learning I suppose. LMAO

Either way Oli's code box is the best I've ever seen on a forum .. well except for mine. Ha Ha
