Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about the curled tail.  It is the stride which concerns me.
Further to that, your dogs looks flat in the training.  You should make the training more upbeat for your dog.
He does what you have taught him so far but I feel, you may be pushing too much repetition with few rewards.
A "high-five" you demand from the dog is for your satisfaction, not the dog's.  Good luck.

I am VERY new to the GSDs also so was afraid to be the first person to post for fear of being 100% wrong, But what Poseidon said was exactly what I was thinking. I was concerned about the gait, and your boy did seem a bit bored, though he appeared to be obeying, he was somewhat sluggish, especially on the recall. This is not meant to be  a criticism, just an observation.
Maybe break up his routine and get him a little bit more hyped up and looking like he WANTS to be there and enjoying himself :)
Good luck to you! Make it fun ;)

I think there is a problem in the tail and this is in my opinion...
