Let me start with that I love this site. But there is a problem. Data on the pedigrees are often corrupted. Is there anything which could be done about this? I would like to post some of my outstanding ( I think so anyway) studs there, but will not  do so because the data of the dogs  which are on  theirs pedigrees are not true . This condition is really damaging to the breeding of the dogs.

Here is 1 example, pedigree added to database today, reading this post and as I do know this dog I thought that it was odd.

Some one within the last hour added this dog as    "Janos der Noriswand"    had they done a proper search with right

spelling they would have found                        " VA1 Janos von der Noriswand"

Please check your spelling before adding dogs pedigree data

OK example: Mambo z Pohranicni straze:
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/466041.html
On his pedigree: Dog Koran z Pohranicni straze has hips marked as 1/2 but he is 0/0.
Dog Kaso z pohranicni  straze has hips marked as 1/2 but he is 0/0
Also many pedigrees completely eliminate hips evaluations>
I can go on all day long and bore you, but this is a typical example. Also I can find a mistake in hips on almost every pedigree and some of the hips evaluations are completely out of whack and are something like 6/8 and there is not even such a thing. I have heard that Germans are somehow screwing Czech dog's pedigrees here in order to cause a damage to Czech dogs. Mambo has been  damaged by this and even there was talk that he produces exceptionally bad hips where in Czech he was one of the two best hip producers.

I agree with dogshome9. The spelling can be an issue. Because the much "loved" AKC spells names not the same as they are spelled on SV or German style. And I also see a lot of dogs are spelled wrong or a "typo" per say and can knock you way out of whack, so we have the same dog on here more then one time with 3 different spellings. And that will cause mixed up pedigrees because the wrong dog is being linked with the wrong dog and so on so forth. sad thing is there is not much that can be done about people that can't spell there dogs names...but I would think that Oli could take out the same dog posted more then one time if reg # and such match or he could pm the poster and ask about it. Just my two sense.

as for the hip issue, I think some people do not know what they are doing when they are rating that because not all people understand about it so I guess it is best that when it doubt leave it out.

Cheers Kathy
