If you weren't lucky enough to get Annie Oakley the blind GSD pup, here's a second chance with another dog. She's a beautiful born-blind adult bicolor GSD with a Michigan rescue group:

These dogs really are special, as Annie's mom knows.

Looks like she's been adopted already!  Yes, they are very special dogs.  They aren't aware that they are blind, and they don't have any handicaps.  Oakley is just as capable as any other GSD I have ever seen, though hand signals are out.  Don't be afraid to give a blind dog a home...They are awesome.

Just don't baby them...they don't need it!

Well, that was fast!  Thank goodness!  Kudos to those who take in the special needs dogs.  There is a place in heaven for those like you.

"Kudos to those who take in the special needs dogs. There is a place in heaven for those like you."

The kind words are appreciated, but . . . the folks who take in these dogs are lucky! The dogs are incredibly special, and bring so much joy to their people.

Yes, that was a quick adoption! Once people meet blind dogs and see how incredible they are, the dogs find homes in a hurry unless they're in an area where people are intensely prejudiced against disabled dogs.
