You're braver than I; I have enough trouble (inexperienced) staying on a regular saddle...Just think of it...It used to be unacceptable for a lady to ride astride...
Sometimes I yearn for the olden days...

Here's a humorous one...
.
Hey, Misty...How do my feet smell???? LOL

It was easier riding than I thought. This was my first try at it....

Somewhere there is a photo of moi riding a black Tennessee Walker side-saddle, in a parade down State Street in Los Altos, CA, with a 1880's era dress and a black TOP HAT.
I was about 12-13.

Steph,
Great shot, nice pony! Waiting on this years.
Crys,
Funny shot...did you know a dogs feet smell like Fritos corn chips? Think I'm kidding, check it out. Just one of those bits of trivia that clog up my brain. And I don't think I yearn enough for the olden days to want to ride side saddle on a regular basis. I would fall on my noggin for sure and I am experienced at horseback riding, at least experienced enough they had a hard time dumping me when I was young.
Shelley,
I bet you cut quite the path dolled up like that and on a Walker to boot! Wish you could locate that and post it.

I had a horse very similar. Mine was an American Saddlebred....her head/face/eyes and star almost the same. Her ears were slightly larger and let slightly closer.....
When I saw the photo it brought me back to simpler time.....
