What are reasonable club dues for Schutzhund? - Page 1

I've been reading this site for a while and have searched the archives to look for information as to what I should expect to pay for club dues. People have given the advice to not join a club that has unreasonable dues...but what would be reasonable?

The research I've done online shows a lot of different methods. Some places seem to charge a yearly membership fee as well as a fee for each day you train at the club. Is this standard? If so, how much should these fees run?

What does everyone on here think is reasonable?

I understand that traveling is part of the sport, so I'm not interested in the cost of that. I'm interested in knowing how much it would cost to be a full member of a club and train my dog twice a week in all three areas of schutzhund.

Our club's prospective member fee is $100 for 8 weeks , then the prospective member gets voted on.  Once voted on the fee for the rest of the year is prorated.

Our single membership is $225 per year, family is $335 per year.

That really depends on your overhead.
Where is the field?
Is it at a member's house?
Do you rent the field?
Who mows the lawn? 
Insurance?
How many trials?
judges costs?
Equipment?
etc. etc. etc?

Given The state of SchH in the USA...They should pay their members to participate.

The entire Board should be thrown out and replaced.

There is monitoring  or even consequences for Con artists, Criminals and low lifes running clubs. 

They know and we know WHO they are, and still they operate with impunity.

IPO and PSA are viable alternatives.

One club we belonged to, charged $150 single & $200 family per year.  Guest training was $20 1st dog, $15 per dog after.
The fees may have gone up??? but don't think so.

I spent months collectively gathering up info, research, records from courts, affadvits, statements and presented a strong case. Nothing was done, nothing will be done. Wayne Curry and those of his ilk will continue their con, and USA will continue to take his checks.
SchH USA cares about dues, nothing else. Not the dogs, not the members, not anything but the dough.
I have the emails to prove it.. But its neither here nor there.

SchHUSA has known Felons as Club Directors. Fact. And will continue to.
They will not screen, they will not impose conduct becoming, even as a private club, which can restrict membership to law abiding citizens only.
