Apperently, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, is reinstating Vick on a conditional basis and he may be playing by this October.
Goodell suspended Vick indefinitely in August 2007 after the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback admitted bankrolling a dogfighting operation on his property in Virginia. At the time, Goodell said Vick must show remorse before he would consider reinstating him. Goodell now says "I do recognize that some will never forgive him for what he did, I hope that the public will have a chance to understand his position as I have."
If you remember Vick pleaded guilty after his three co-defendants had already done so. They told of how Vick participated in the killing of dogs that didn't perform well in test fights by shooting, hanging, drowning or slamming them to the ground. He met with the president of the Humane Society of the United States while serving his federal sentence at Leavenworth, Kan. He plans to work with HSUS in a program designed to steer inner city youth away from dogfighting. He was not permitted to work with the program while in custody.

sadly enough I believe the only thing Vick is remorse about is the 25 or more millions of dollars he has lost due to not playing football. Well that is just par for the course ! America glorifies every type of criminal hoodlum pervert that comes to the door and encourages todays youth to emulate them! I would suggest that Vick be placed in a dog fight ring with several of the type of dogs he participated in killing who would equal his weight and ring the bell! But what about Charlie hustle who was BANNED FOR LIFE FOR GAMBLING AND KILLED NO ONE?? THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN TODAYS WORLD!

I would hope that whatever area he plays in someone would start a grass roots operation, and bring their dogs to the outside of the park that day (PARKING LOTS), and show their presence.
Just think, a tailgate party, setting up obedience, agility, I would love to see sch (but not a good idea), service dogs rep resting the blind, hearing, etc. they could get there early and fill the parking lot, and make the ticket holders park outside the park. This is just wrong and promotes the problems we are having and tolerating, no morales, not providing solid hero's to look up to, just give the kids the trash to idolize. Teach the kids it is OK to treat others poorly. So wrong on so many levels........................................

He made a terrible mistake. Did his time for that mistake. Let him try and move forward with his life. We would do the same with a bank robber or drug dealer. As long as his job doesn't involve animals i would be fine with anything he does to earn a living.Robet Downing Jr and Rob Lowe all got second and third chances.

YUP it's wrong but I don't think anything will stop it . Not even big protests . It's just the way things are .

Sunsilver, you made my day. I still say, this should not just be swept aside. If we do not start somewhere, we are never going to teach the next generation right from wrong.

Ok, anyone one out there capable of getting Roger Goodell, email. we could send him Sunsilver's picture and flood his server's.
