I have a 5 month old male who is finishing up his teething.  He has always drooled more than previous dogs I've had, but he has a much wider mouth and looser jowls than my others.  Today it is EXCESSIVE.  If he lays down for a while, when he gets up, there is a puddle and the side of his head is all wet.  He also has long "shoe strings" of drool out the side of his mouth when not sleeping.  He has lost three of his four canines in the past few days.  Just has one left and it is loose.  I'm hoping this last one is the cause, but I don't know.  Should I be worried?  I have been giving him a frozen marrow bone a few times this past week to get those canines out.  It worked on the first three, but after todays bone, he still has that last one in there and he's still drooling.  His drool is clear, no foam, and not bloody.  He still has a good appetite and wants to play.  Do you think that teething is causing this?

I'm not an expert, but I would probably contact his breeder for advise. They usually have a wealth of information. Good luck!
