"WHAT" have you "learned" thru use of this database????? - Page 1

      First off, I want to say that 'MOST" of the posters here are serious, about the German Shepherd Breed. They have a "passion "for the breed.(JMO).
     There are a lot of nonsense posters also.Those that claim their desires, but Don't live that desire. I've been here ALONG TIME. I've seen many a knowledgeable person leave the forum,"To that, "I accept my own faults!".
     I came here as a total novice as it pertains to "Breeding German Shepherd Dogs". I actually thought I was quite knowledgeable. Was I ever wrong!!!!!!
     I stood up for my beliefs,fought tooth and nail (I still believe a Blue shepherd, is a GERMAN SHEPHERD,sorry but i do), For what I believed in.,and I still will. The history of the dogs I have bred, SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. I HAVE NEVER HAD ONE COMPLAINT ON A PUP(dog) I have produced.EVER!!!!!
     I started in ignorance, long before the Internet and references came into play. I went with titles, pedigrees and OFA's.I truly thought that using the rescources at the time, were sufficient.
 
      I HAVE BEEN EDUCATING myself since . I WILL STILL STAND BEHIND MY DOGS and MY DECISSIONS since I started. My dogs come from GREAT foundation stock. ALL Top Seiger dogs! ( Gotta be something there if parents were on top,JMO).
     To be considerd a serious player, you must follow certain rules::::
                    I have 2 dogs going for hip/elbow scans this week, one went last week. I have 3 dogs in training now,(what a chore that is(expense compliments of my mother)(YEAH MOM)
                        I do NOT aspire to breed competition dogs! Tooo many to compete with. My dogs WILL NOT go on to be SEIGER WINNERS, EVER(I live in New York)...
      I have had German Shepherds since 1994. After being accused of being BYB, I looked up my litters. I have had 9 litters of puppies, in over 10 years. I HAVE 7 females , 5 of which are over 6 years. Several of the dogs(pups), still live with me!
     I have been , slam, bammed, NO THANK YOU MAMMED, in the last year(loser123). i still went FOR THE' BH'( NO WONDER I FAILED,NOT duke!!!!!)( AND THANK YOU SHELLEY, she ENCOURAGES, not dis-courages!!!)
           THANKS "TOTALLY TO MY MOTHER,she "foots the Bill"!!!!
   M y dogs WILL NOT BE dysplastic..., will NOT have kidney failure...will not eat children!!!!!
I scan, where they will go. I WILL ALWAYWS TAKE A DOG BACK!!!

I have learned that the potential for excellent information is available here.  I have learned that though I have my own strong opinions (as most dog people do) that there is more ways to look at issues, and when I humble myself a little I can learn.  I have also learned that most dog people are set in their ways and are very stuborn and unyeilding.  Being critical, mean spirited, quick to judge, unforgiving, short on manners and ego-centric are common in most folks that have a passion for something, and this includes us dog people.  I have learned that when I am more concerned with winning an argument on hear it is because that (winning) is more important to me than what is best for the dogs.  When I truly put the dogs, training, health care etc. etc. first, I argue little, and listen more.

I have learned that this message board can be an absalute pain in the butt, arrogant and selfish, but it can also offer a world of valuable information I lacked in.   I have learned that when I push the send button too fast, I often regret it.  Mostly, I have learned much about myself and the things that I do not like to see.

                       My point was, I KNEW NOTHIN G ,,When I thought I knew so much!! Still Trying tho...

I HAVE LEARNED THAT I CRAVE TATER SALAD 24/7. I HAVE LEARNED THAT DINKIE IS THE BEST DOG ON THE PLANET. I HAVE LEARNED THAT THE PIC OF THAT POOR LITTLE ASS IN THAT F'N HOLE IS MAKING ME CRAZY. I WOULD DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET HIM OUT OF THERE. I LEARNED I WOULD AND COULD GET VERY MIDEVIL ON WHO PUT THE POOR THING IN THERE.
