Reminds me of a dog I owned years ago... Melissa!  She was hell on wheels, independent and nothing phased  her for very long. I brought her to Obedience class I was teaching on a flat collar, she jumped yelled... leaped and was a general pain in the ass. The class members had gotten to that "My dog is just stupid and will never learn".  I told them I often felt that way with Melissa as she was so darn independent.  I then went over swiched collars/leads and healed her to the center of the group, dropped her and proceeded to teach the rest of the class with her on a down stay.  I explained that ANY DOG CAN LEARN... and with a dog Like Lisa sometimes you have to train out of self defense.  

Melissa went on to get her Cd, and could have done a lot more if I'd had my act together. While she was independent and insensitive to physical correction she adored me, and would do anything for a "good girl".

Congrats to you and your favorite brat... this may be just the begining of great things!
