Has anyone had any actual experience with this new version of food Orijen has out?  Thoughts or opinions?

Thoughts or opinions about the formula from those that do not use it but know more about dry food?

The only thing, I disagree with, is the pork in it....pork doesn't even agree with me....I don't feed pork at all...
Just my thoughts...

Too many designer dog foods in my opinion.
There are brands I would not feed because they are total crap, some brands the dogs wont eat because they taste like crap to the dog.
Some brands may be fine but are too damned over priced.
When you find something that works for you and your dog stick with it, don't experiment just because of the brands claims.
Don't switch brands just because someone told you it is crap, ask yourself,
Do the dogs like it?
Are they crapping it all out or are they using it?
How do the dogs look, are the coats shinny, do they seem to be fit, how much food are they eating to maintain?
Do you ever hear the dogs stomach growling?
Switch gradually and pay attention to the dog, always give plenty of fresh water and it never hurts to lightly moisten the food especially in summer.
Does the food smell OK at the end of the bag, some food will stink by the time you get to the end of the bag.   Keep it in a cool dry, dark place and use something like a plastic garbage container for storage.
I stay away from anything ever on a recall list, actually I have been feeding the same crap for twenty years with no problems.
Yes it has chicken and corn in it, the only problem I have ever encountered was with fish based foods.
Judge a food by what you see, not what you've been told .
It never hurts to ad what you think a food is missing, or ad something to break up the monotony, ad a little variety.
Cheese, eggs, red meat or canned salmon, meat grease or even leftovers.  Avoid spice, vinegar, peppers, onions, that kind of thing.
And do everything in moderation.
Dogs should be able to live on just about anything if they needed too, if they are healthy and have good system function.

I have never tryed Orijen and probably will never switch from my current brand.

I fed Orijen adult to two Dogs, never a bit of trouble and always shining coats and good health, I rate it top of the Dry Kibbles without question it is very good, This Orijen Red i do not think it is in Europe yet but it is interesting to note they drop the protein content by 4% on the normal brand, But at what cost is it now For sure we will have to pay heavy over here in Belgium

Nope never tried it. I did used Orijen fish formula on my female, but than went back to Vetschoice Holistic formula, could not see any difference in my dog, so the extra cost was not justified.
