I have a Von Treuen Shepherd born 5/11/06 - Page 1

I saw an old post that was looking for sheps from Von Treuen kennels and Kal Porter.  I have one.  The post said there were a lot of health problems from this kennel.  I would like to know what they were.  To date I have had only allergy problems.  My boy is big and beautiful and a tracking machine.  It would be to my advantage to know what to look for as far as future health problems.   I have no way of contacting the breeder either.

I have a Von truen shepherd.actually i bought 2 off Kal porter she also has a male that throws EPI.
Kal porter has been hiding since.she has deceived quite a few people.

I have 2 GSD from Von Treuen, born 1/22/05.  The one I have must be the runt of the litter.  About 1 1/2 years ago the vet told us that her pancreas doesn't function properly.  She eats and eats but is thin.  She is on a powdered enzyme that is sprinkled on her food everytime she eats.  She will be on it the rest of her life.  Also this past weekend she seems to be having issues with her hips.  Whether it's hip dysplasia or not, we aren't sure.  Once she gets going she seems to be alright.  We need to call the vet as it seems something is starting.  We have no issues at all with her brother from the same litter.

I also have 2 from Kal. One born 5/22/04 and 1 born 9/21/04. No problems with either girl.
