So I took my white GSD Bree to a UKC obedience trial this past weekend for the heck of it to see if we could finish her title on her. I haven't done anything with her since 2005. I've been concentrating on Chaos and Caliber most but am now giving them a little bit of a break and decided to do some things with Bree. She amazed me by taking first place both trials on Saturday AND taking high in trial for the first show over all of the other classes. She is the only one that qualified out of the 6 Novice A dogs in the 2nd show and 2 of us qualified in the first show out of 6 dogs in Novice A. I am still grinning from ear to ear. She brought home a huge plaque, 3 ribbons and 3 rosettes along with her new title ribbon and then 2 new 6 ft. leather leashes. Guess I need to get her out more often, lol. She definitely showed me that she didn't forget a thing that she's learned in her 6 years of obedience! Her scores were 183 and 185 out of 200 : - }

That's great!
Congratulations to you & Bree, rosettes are fun to get!!!!
I took my white GSD into the ring when he was about 10 yrs. old for the second time, (the first time he started to pee during
the fiqure 8's, and the judge yelled : Get that dog outta here!!!) I was a bit weary about ever bringing him in again, then for the heck of it, they had a special prize for the oldest dog recieving his first leg, Kane did great, I got his picture back from the show and it said New Title CD, and I said That's fine with me!!!!

He has since passed away, but what a nice personality he had, everyone loved him!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your special moment with us, white GSD's are beautiful!!!

And like Dawn says, they never do forget, I'm going to go back to the ob show ring with Sam, she got her CD a while back,
the other night for the heck of it I asked Sam to heel next to me, no leash on, we were outside my yard walking around a tall fence to my front door, everytime I stopped she sat, I am so excited to start the CDX training, it's going to be quick!
Please post a pic of Bree if you can!!!

mirasmom, thanks for posting your story as well. Here's a new picture of Bree from today out on our deck. She's such a sweetheart. I'm taking her to Ann Arbor this weekend to do another trial on Saturday to see if she can repeat her self : - } That would be awesome.

Thanks Kelly. Hopefully we will do a repeat of last weekend : - } I do know the show is going to be bigger though with a lot more dogs. Last weekend it was a fairly small show because of other shows for AKC etc. going on in the area. I'm looking forward to it though and sharing the time with Bree. She gets so excited when she gets to go with mom anywhere, lol.
