I was wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like this. It's a bump on the side of one of my dog's mouth. It's been there for about 4 or 5 months now. Hasn't gotten any bigger for a while, but it isn't going away either. Thanks!

The bump is pretty soft feeling. Are warts on dogs soft?

how old is the dog? I'd take him in to the vet to have it "stuck"
There is a benign skin tumor that dogs get called histiocytoma, but then there are also some other that they can get too.

I think the dog has a cyst. Since there is some pain associated with it I would ask the veterinarian to examine it the next time the dog has a visit. These can often be lanced and drained, and with a round of antibiotics they do not reappear.
That is an unual area for a cyst, as most are somewhere near the spine. I have a dog who had a similar type of swelling from a bite received in a fight with a stray. I did not notice the swelling and had forgotten about the fight. This place was discovered by the attending veterinarian and while there was no pus comining from the area there was plenty of clear liquid and some pain when the area was squeezed.
It is of interest to note that the young veterinarian who treated this dog first suspected a lower mandible infection and wanted to arrange for a root canal. She was quite serious, but I talked her out of it and asked her to prescribe some antibiotics. The swelling went away within a week and never returned.
