add yogurt to their food.

try rice, chicken and yogurt.

but a different bag of food from an different supplier

to go your vet and get a few cans of sience diet i/d to help plug them up

try some canned pumpkin pie fillling

try a totally different feed - like TOWT or Ojin......

feed less each meal and inltead feed more meals a day?

do to the vet and have them checked for worms

every dog (puppy)  is different............

are the puppies active?

are they loosing weight?

are they drinking and eating

are their eyes clear and their gums pink?

other then the loose poops, are they generally happy, healthy puppies?

How long have pups been on this food? Do you feed it dry or is it mixed with something? Have they had the same reaction since they have been on the feed? Is it diarrea or just a soft stool.Lots of pups have soft stools at this age.More info would be helpful. As already asked, have they been wormed,if so with what and for how many days.

stay away from the vet and science diet food    science diet is poison    Hills food is the cheapest crap  company in the United states.//////Sorry Sitasmom   I should have warned you  long ago..but thats your business...But science diet is not the way to stop diahrea in a baby pup..Pectillin is the diahrea med you should have on hand...no kaopectate no pepto...new warnings against them...they have too much acetametaphine in them...

ALBON SUSPENSION IS MY NEXT MED TO HAVE ON HAND

I wont let anyone recommend Science diet to anyone else without warning..

*********************************************************************************************************************************

Lets start from     point A  Is this a puppy large breed food?????

YOu must all realize  ....puppies are babies...they have undeveloped gastrological systems,,nerves and intestional tracts...why?  are you feeding a rich food for adult dogs to a baby puppy??  Number one :the ratio of phosphorus and calcium is incorrect..not for a baby...number two: what is the % of protein?

number 3: What is the fat content....and where did the fat come from....Is there folic in this.?? Is there Choline in this food...all puppies must have both and they must have balance of nutrients and no high protein levels to drive the gastro into eruption....sorry to those who recommend adult dog food for babies...It is not good..and this is the reason for all the problems you need read about day in and day out......... ....pm me privately....you must start puppie on light levels of food...mush and then graduate slowly to a large breed puppy food...and if you want to do raw...you must start in the proper levels.... I do not know the contents of the food you are feeding  .You do not want to keep adding foreign things into the stomach of a baby ..put him on one simple large breed puppy food and leave him there...do not keep changing..

..worm pup and make sure he doesnt have cocci....albon every day for 10 days..is a prevention I use regardless...All puppies eat each others poop and the bacteria concept is not filth it is a learn behaviour they see their mother do...they do it and then cocci germ gets into the system ..

Could you post contents and % of all on the sack??

Solid Gold did the same to Baden when he was a pup and after about a week, he refused to eat it at all. Try a different food. California Naturals seems to be easy to digest with no crap ingredients added.

I didn't intend to elaborate about this untill you posted more info, but I'll tell you what I do and it's worked very well for me over the years. I start deworming my pups at 3weeks with nemex 2,I give it for 3 days in a row.I deworm again at 4,6,8 weeks then once a month until 6 months always 3 days in a row,at the rate of 1/10 cc per pound.I start my pups on a premium puppy food at 3-4 weeks.I put it in a blender with goats milk a few drops of white cairo syrup, blend to a loose gruel and feed. I do this for a couple of weeks, then I simply soak the food in  water until soft and then add a little goats milk and feed.By the time they are seven weeks old,I normally have them on dry food with plenty of water available at all times.Like yellowrose I'm a big believer in albon. I use it exactly as she does.Better to be safe then sorry.I also start vaccinations at an early age,as soon as they are eating good, usually around 4 to 5 weeks then every 3 weeks. Maybe overkill, but again better safe then sorry.

yOU ARE EXACTLY ON THE MARK   BUT WHEN YOU BUY A PUP  YOU HAVE NOT  A CHINAMANS CHANCE IN KNOWING ALL BREEDERS DO THIS...MOST DO NOT...IT COSTS TOO MUCH MONEY...THEY LOOSE PROFIT IF THEY DO ALL THAT WORMING AND GOATS MILK LIKE I DO...I USE PYRANTEL AT WEEK  3, 4, 5 , 6

THEN I GO TO PANACUR....I DO A 10 DAY PREVENTATIVE WITH ALBON SUSPENSION.....
IF YOU DO NOT GET RID OF ANY SUSPICION OF COCCI    YOU HVE A PROBLEM AND THERE IS NOT A PUP ON EARTH THAT DOES NOT LICK , EAT HIS SIBLINGS POOP.  AND THEY WALK IN IT AND LAY IN IT...

i DO NOT SELL NOR HAVE PUPS WITH DIAHREA.OR   WITH WORMS..........ONE TIME IN 35 YEARS    A WHIPWORM WS FOUND IN A GSD PUPPY.THAT i SOLD........FIRST YEAR HERE IN TYLER....I DIDNT KNOW    DEER POOP   HAS WHIPWORMS.......SO I DIDNT WORM FOR IT...AND PYRANTEL WILL NOT KILL WHIPWORMS....AND THE MAMMA DOG WAS ALWAYS RUNNING OUT BACK OF PROPERTY NEAR CREEK WHERE ALL THE DEER POOP IS....

I WAS EMBARRASSED WHEN THE OWNER CALLED ME BACK AND TOLD ME ABOUT THE WHIPWORM FOUND IN PUPPY.

..MY VET LAUGHED AT ME....DO YOU HAVE LIVESTOCK ON YOUR PROPERTY OR DID HAVE????? NO  I SAID...WELL TWO HOURS LATER i CALLED MY VET BACK AND ASK HIM

WHAT ABOUT DEER....HE SAID  " tHAT IS IT"

A waste of time taking notice of all posts on your problem that is certain, no matter how right or wrong or how well meant they are from the Guys so i will not put my two pence in for it is not needed,
In this case you only need heed one that of  Y.R  you will solve your problem by taking notice of her post
But do not wait do it now that is important, for the Pup will be losing fluids very quickly

i've posted before, but here goes again:  we've had crappy results over time from every premium dog food, including the wolf cub.  the only 2 premium foods i haven't tried are evo and orijen, because i can't get them here.  seriously.  the high cost foods are a joke.  dogs do well for a while, then the problems arise.  diarrhea, vomiting, yukky coats, skin problems, ear problems.  find yourself a good quality feed and figure out what supplements your dog needs.  supplements and some raw treats go a long way in improving health and condition.  i won't ever throw money away on the $65 a bag stuff again.  been there, done that.  i'll spend the money on supplements and real foods.  there's a lot of things you can add to their meals that are good for them.  eggs, yogurt, enzymes, cottage cheese, fish oils, veggies, hamburger, chicken, liver.  the list is endless.  there are several good products available as well.  i've used vertex, missing link and nupro.  k9 power also carries a whole line of products designed for specific needs.  all these products are good products and far more effective than the highcost rip-off "premium" feeds.

****i never in the world thought i would feed iams dog food, but here we are.  iams plus supplements and raw treats works just great for us.  we've been using it for several months now and have not had the need to change.  you just need to figure out what works for yours.
