Look out for swindlers.

we have been approached for buying 2 puppies.
They sent us a cheque and I had pay also the shipper.
They wanted reverse the cheque  on the moment that the puppies were gone and the flight was paid by us.

They worked from South Africa and the cheque came from England.

They contacted us with this emailadress:

Please look out for those people, i have now pups 14 weeks old because of the fact that we kept them for those people.
 

We all know about this kind of scam   sorry you had not read about it here a long time ago...

never believe the cheque scam  or     send my driver with a mo  or  a cashiers check for more than the amount..of a

I have recently concluded such a transaction, with a breeder I found through this site.  As a South African, it is daunting to send large amounts of hard-earned money to a person you have not met, and have communicated to only via email.  My experience was a good one, and I have only the highest praise for the breeder, who did everything and more than what was expected of him.  The language barrier is a problem, yes, but we managed to communicate effectively. 

I would not have expected him to send my anything until the cash was in his hands.  Cheque, Paypal, MoneyGram, Money Order, Bank Transfer - it makes no difference.  I was happy to wait for shipping until the funds had cleared on his side.  If your buyer is unreasonable, and insists on shipping once they have supplied "proof" of payment, be very very careful.  We have scams here daily, of faxed "Bank Deposit slips" that are fake!  Until the money is in your hands, no deal!
