How to upload a picture?3M is too big?

Sometimes in this web site the picture you are trying to download is too big from the digital camera. I have to open the picture first in Paint or whatever program you have and resize it first.  Then try to upload it again.  After a successful upload, it will show you the picture instead of the red X, to the left of the picture you can then change the size again, I usually put in the number 300 then the rest of the blanks are filled in auto. I hope this helps.

I didn't know you could resize in Paint...

I have been using 300 for the long sides of my pics in the upload box, as well, let it figure the other out on its own.. My pics are 2 MP, and come out to be 1200 by 1600...A bit big, so I make them smaller...They load faster when you open the thread, and the folks on dialup will be able to see them more easily, too.
