I'm curious...does this happen only to females that have had a previous litter or can it happen to one that has never been bred? Just wondering if there is a relationship to having raised a litter or can it be just instinct to want a litter.

Hi Sue,
This can happen to any female that has not been spayed. It does not matter if they have had a litter or have been bred before and not taken. Even a female after her first heat can have a false preg. It all has to do with hormones.
Always,
Cee
