We feed raw by doing our shopping at this store. I really enjoy it, but my wife hates it. There is always something going on here. Gangbangers and Thugs all over the place. Always, at least a half dozen or so Pit Bulls being faced off in the parking lot, and Mexican Music being BLASTED over the loud speakers. My wife calls it COMPTON.

How do the prices compare to stores in your neck of the woods?

Abhay....

Can I send you my grocery list?  A lot of your prices are quite a lot cheaper than they are here..

Ten pound bag of leg quarters are $6.56 last time I bought any for us.  Your meats are especially cheaper...A sale here on ground beef is $2.49  Decent prices where you are.  Lot better than here.  I haven't seen beef steaks or roasts for under $3.50 per pound, and usually a lot higher than that, although not as high as Belgium, where Steve lives.

The beer is moderately higher in price, but I don't drink, so frankly, I don't care what it costs.

The hotdogs, on sale here, BarS, is about .69 per small package...Maybe $4.00 for the bigger one.

Hey Good lookin::::   June 15 has come and gone....

When I was in Florida ,the price of meat and groceries was two time what is is here in Texas...Super ! Foods runs chicken quarters on sale every other week. 10 lbs  as low as $4.29. Milk is now down to 2.89 at CVs AND that is Oak Farms...

Gas here today was  2.44 for unleaded  cheapest grade.

Hey Abhay,
$3.99 for a 10 lb bag is a good price (39.9 cents per lb).  I would stock up and freeze them.  I usually pay about .65 per lb.  On occassion my supermarket runs the same kind of sale and I stock up.  I buy chopmeat by the 80 lb case at Sam's club and I just paid $1.48 per lb by the case.  The regular price is over $2.00 per lb, so I saved at least $40 bucks on the case and it's good chopmeat 80/20.  I buy leg quarters by the 40 lb case as well and usually pay $24 for the case.

Buy as many bags as you can freeze.

We have a big freezer that is always packed for the doggies. There is a big Tyson Chicken Plant here, but its like pulling teeth, to find a contact there to purchase some chicken necks. If I go hang out with Yellowrose, I can get in on those 40lb boxes of chicken necks for $12.20.

Tyson hires all of those illegals that you were complaining about........do you really want to support them?

We can usually find leg/thigh quarters for 4.99 a 10# bag.  Can't remember right off the top of my head what my husband pays for 40# box of turkey necks but it's not bad either.  This is a good time to stock up - lots of stores having nice sales for 4th of July BBQing.

SitasMom, I don't remember complaining about illegals? Please put up the link to the thread where I did.

Turkey Necks! Now that's better yet. I wish I could get those in bulk.

Hey, YR...You're paying quite a bit less for gas there than we are here...

Regular Unleaded: 2.75 to 2.79 (some stations dropped the price from 2.79 because of reduced sales.)
Midgrade Unleaded: 2.85
High Grade : 2.93

Diesel:  2.68

In Coeur D' Alene, about 45 miles south of here, gas is 15 to 20 cents cheaper and if you've spent plenty at Safeway, you can save more....10 cents per gallon for every 100 dollars you spend...I use a friend's card (they don't go to CDA for gas, so they don't use the rewards), and once saved 60 cents per gallon!  When gas was 3.61 here, I paid 3.01.  It helped a bit, but I was kicking myself because I hadn't brought any gas cans with me!

Off road diesel is cheaper, because it's not taxed, but if you get caught with that in your tank, you'll pay a ten thousand dollar fine...They've got no sense of humor...There isn't a Sam's club anywhere real close here that I know of...But Walmart's the only place that we can get ten pound bags of chicken leg quarters....65.6 cents / pound.
