how old the puppy?

Are they on wire , concrete or dirt?

It appears likely to be Staph pyoderma--probably the result of "vaccinosis" by vainnoculating with a polyvalent vaccines. I've seen this many times. It is even referred to as "puppy pyoderma".

Prevention is the key: innoculate with single vaccines and feed a raw diet.

I have experimented with numerous successful treatment modalities.

Puppy was 7 weeks old....first shot given at 6 weeks & wormed regularly.
Outside during day in 10x15 grass kennel & in home at night.

Now what if I told you that same puppy only weighed 6lbs @ 7 weeks. Started having diarrhea, stopped eating & all water was immediately thrown back up. Anti-vomit meds didn't work & after no food or water for 2 1/2 days then started to "poop" blood. Parvo was neg.

Coccidia ----The primary sign of an animal suffering with coccidiosis is diarrhea. The diarrhea may be mild to severe depending on the level of infection. Blood and mucous may be present, especially in advanced cases. Severely affected animals may also vomit, lose their appetite, become dehydrated, and in some instances, die from the disease.

Giardia---- can be very hard to diagnose. Lack of energy, weight loss in spite of a healthy appetite, occasional to sever vomiting, and/or recurring diarrhea may be symptoms of the disease.

I would check for these things also.

I also fostered a pit puppy that had puppy strangles  he had puss bumps all over him, inbetween his toes, on his neck all over his belly and it took a week to get rid of them then when he would get off the meds they would come back .  It took about 3 weeks for him to recover and start gaining weight. I had to force him to eat I was ready to give up on him until I gave him some steak one day and he took off and is about 16 lbs now and doing great.

That is staph ,get the pup in a really clean place, and start hand taking care of it, warm compresses, antibotics, and a nice bath a couple times a day, keep away from all dogs and I would start raw meat too.remove it from  where you are housing it now . Best to the pup but it will only servive with your work.

I think I got some really BAD vet advice.....they didn't "know" what it was and told me on Monday if she got worse in the next 48 hrs that the best thing to do would be to put her down. I was feeding her 1/4 tsp water at a time but she couldn't keep anything down. She hadn't eaten or anything in 3 days and looked so horrible. When the blood started I had her put down b/c I didn't want her to suffer but now I feel like I didn't try hard enough. I just can't stop crying - I loved my little girl.

Who was your vet, did they send you to a internal medicine vet? From the picture it looks like a Staph infection. I am so sorry for your loss. Please do not feel guilty about putting your pup down, we all do the best we can, sometimes it is all out of our hands. Do you have a pet loss group in your area?
Always,
Cee
