The little box noted "limited" on a puppys reg. application. What does the number in the box mean, and what does it mean if the box doesnt have a number, but it is not blacked out?

To my recollection when I was breeding was that the dog could not bred if the limited box was checked or you could not get rights to register should you breed. ...... meaning I has a breeder had standards .... for instance... the hips must be done before I could OK it to go to the full registration. Contact your breeder and ask ...the breeder has the ability to change ..... next time ask on this prior to the purchase. I believe the above is correct but input from others will also be helpful or maybe ableto clarify it much more.

What that # means is if the dog is registered online you must be able to give them that # to prove the papers are full.

limited means the offspring of you dog, if bred, could not be akc registered.
