Any Advice......Tattoos

Hi,

Im new on here and was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.

I have a female Rottie that i got last year, she has 2 tattoos 1 in each ear. They are really faded though and i was wondering if there was anyway to make them more visable to read?

Also is there anyway to search pedigree if im able to read the tattoo? and why would she have 2 of them, i thought normally they only got one done in the right ear.

Swabbing the ear with some rubbing alcohol can often help to bring the tattoo out a bit clearer. A really great trick is to shine a flashlight through the ear (eg under the other side of where the tattoo is).

Dont know if Rotties do have 2 tattoos, but one possibility is that the first one didnt take right, and whom ever did it put a second one in the other ear in the hope this time it will take, as you wont find out untill the green ink is off if its readable or not. This happened to my GSD, luckely her first tattoo is so weak that if you dont know its there you dont see it, her second one in the other ear came out readable, thank godness...
