My 17 year old german shepherd suddendly stopped eating for 2 days. On the third day he vomitted a greenish liquid. He is also passing foul smelly gas. The doctor did blood work and it came back clean. He took x-rays and they show an enlarged liver. He says that he is full of gas. He put him on Amoxi 40mg twice a day for 10 days. He's still not eating and passing gas. The vet said if there is no progress he'll take an ultrasound. Has anybody's german shepherd gone through something like this? Would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

At 17 yrs old I would suppose any kind of tumor of cancer is probable.....Sorry for the news...at his age you will have to make an imprortant decision..He has lived a very long life...
How can a blood work come back clean? If he has liver disease, his chemical balance has to be way off somewhere...What did it say/???Post the results he gave you on the graff??????

17 years old,
Sorry to hear he is having trouble.
It could be anything, do you trust your vet ?
Just do what you can for him.
