They already knocked on my door, and the US Census bureau hired a neighbor from the next street over. Seems like an easy job for anyone needing an extra income. They are verifying residential addresses. Much ado about nothing, IMHO

Preliminary Step in verifying addresses.   I guess it could be "easy money" - depending on which neighborhood you are assigned.  Personally, there are some neighborhoods where I would not go.   Have you ever received the Long Form questionnaire?   Ahhhhhhhhhhhggggggggggg!   If all questions are not answered "someone" will come calling at your house.

At least they showed up instead of bothering me on the phone.

and you answered the questions ....why   You have $5000.00 fine money in your cookie jar to pay the fine if usa citizens dont answer all the questions....and you people gonna let this happen...nothing done or said.????? cannot believe it...

I just dont understand why anyone would not contest this and ought to be up in arms about you being threatened to go to jail or fine if you do not answer government questions that are no ones business..   tobacco just got regulated in tobacco, and you now got 250 more new rules passed last month and more than half of congress never read them..were not allowed to   ask your representative if he is a republican , if he was given them>? no

Why would the US Gov't need to know what you do, when, and what kind of coffee you drink?  And why would there be a fine if you refused to answer the questions?  I think a lot of people would say nuts to that, and tear the thing up, as well as refusing to allow census takers into the home.  They don't have the right to trespass, any more than any other person does.

The census needs to be limited to asking how many people, and that's it.  The government doesn't need to know anything else.
