Ok, so the topic heading isn't altogether serious, but I had to post what my girl got into and ate yesterday while we were gone to church.  She is usually VERY well-behaved while we are gone and we do not have to crate her like we do her 8 month old daughter.  BUT today she must've really had the munchies or something because we came home to find that she had eaten:

- 5 nectarines (minus the pitts)
- a big slice of coffee cake (she tore through the saran wrap)
- an ENTIRE new bag of big marshmallows!
- a 1/3 of a huge canteloupe that had NOT been cut into yet!

All of these things were up on my kitchen counter as I had just been to the grocery before we had to leave for church.  We KNEW she had done something naughty when we came home and she did NOT greet us at the door, but rather was hiding sheepishly!
Is she trying to tell me that I'm not feeding her enough?!  On a more serious note, we have been trying to watch her weight.  ever since we had her spayed back in March, she does seem to have a much bigger appetite and has been getting a little chubby.  we feed her about 3 3/4 - 4 cups of Taste of the Wild each day and hardly any treats at all.  Does it seem like I should be feeding her more if she is getting into our food?  Or maybe this was just one act of being onery!?!  she does act like she is hungry all the time, but she weighs around 85 lb (she IS very big-boned however) so i am hesitant to feed her much more.

Anyways, just had to share this amusing experience!!  I think the canteloupe surprised me the most, since it was a whole one that she gouged into!  I kept thinking that she was going to have the runs but so far she has shown no ill effects!

She was craving beta-carotenes and vitamin C with the fruit maybe?  You're lucky she didn't start a fire and roast those marshmallows. Maybe you should check and see if she got into the graham crackers and Hershey bars...just in case..!
