You have to apply and leave it be.... let it translocate thru the hair follicles.. don't touch, no brushing, no baths for a few days either before or after application....
If your population is very high, outdoor treatment is most likely necessary..... although we see ticks now and again here, the real season is spring and fall usually....

I just ordered some Bug Off Garlic - have heard great things about it on another forum, it's inexpensive and I figured it was worth a shot!

If anyone does know of anything that can be given topically that really works, I'd love to hear about it. I really hate using those chemicals too, but I hate ticks and the diseases they can cause even more. I had a dog with Lyme disease- even when treated early and aggresively with doxicycline as my boy was, symptoms can remain.
