SAN DIEGO — One man stabbed another man in the back early yesterday after an argument over the condition of a dog, San Diego police said.
The two men were visiting another friend at an apartment on Sassafras Street, near State Street, in the Middletown neighborhood when they started arguing at about 2:30 a.m. The men went outside and began fighting, police said.
The man with the dog was then stabbed in the back by the other man, who ran away on India Street, police said. The wounded man, 25, was taken to a hospital. In addition to the stab wound, he also suffered a broken nose. He is expected to survive, police said.
Police described the attacker as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair. He was last seen without a shirt and wearing jeans. He speaks with an Australian accent and goes by the name “Guy,” police said. –J.L.J.

The stabbing is bad enough but I don't think I will ever look at a sandwich the same way again. (Hold the cheese - and I thought I asked to have it on whole wheat!)
