Greetings everyone, I just completed building German Shepherd World www.germanshepherdworld.org and would like to invite you to visit and join.

It's an online community for German Shepherd owners, breeders, trainers, and handlers. It features profiles for you and your dogs, photo albums, video, live chat, instant messaging, blogs, articles, groups, events, and much more. Some of the members call it a Facebook for German Shepherds. It even incorporates Twitter and iPhone support.

It was designed to complement, not compete with Pedigree Database, and indeed profiles and classifieds can all link to your Pedigree Database information with the special Pedigree Database fields.

The things on the site I enjoy most are the profiles members can create to share photos, information, pedigrees, and videos about their dogs. You can see my girl Ruby as well.

It's a fun new take on the German Shepherd website. I hope you'll check it out.

I have been to this site, and even signed up as a member.  I think the instant chat thingy is amazing.  And Gary is correct, it's not meant to "compete" with PDB, but does compliment it nicely!

Good job, Gary!!

I agree with ladywolf45169, the new site is amazing.

You can create profiles for pages for your dogs and its set up to link back here to the pedigrees! It's really well done.

I've signed up too, but haven't "played" much with it.    Lots of other stuff going on over here.

I was a bit nervous at first because I fell for the "tagged" scam going around in which my entire email address book was spammed from the site saying there were pictures from me!  There were no pictures.    So beware an email saying you've been tagged for photos!

Hi Rezkat, we should probably clarify that German Shepherd World wasn't the source of the email virus

LOL Gary,

Figured that it wasn't, but what a mess I had to deal with.  Everyone and I mean everyone got emailed.  AOL does this auto add thing, so even folks that I don't necessarily know got spammed too.   I don't think too many fell for it and I almost didn't, but thought for sure that the person that I got it from had pictures!   Enough fell for it to keep the darn thing going!  I sent out some warnings, but it was really too late at that point.

Kathy, that sounds like a genuine headache.

Didn't that originate from Facebook? I recently joined there, & was immediately warned not to open any e-mails...of course I had already done so....until I see what damage is done (if any, I'm not sure if I actually opened anything bad) I'm not joining anywhere else. But it sounds great, Gary. jackie harris

kalibeck I think the virus you're thinking about came from myspace. you should go over to germanshepherworld.org and see rezkat's dogs, they're really nice.
